Women’s hockey is Canada’s fastest-growing sport.

Calgary Fire Elite Hockey Program will welcome 650+ female hockey players and their fans to our city for our Annual Firestarter Tournament, the largest female elite hockey tournament in Western Canada.

We are seeking sponsorship for our Firestarter Tournament as well as our Calgary Fire 2023/24 hockey season. This is a great opportunity for our sponsors to gain exposure while supporting female hockey players.

About Our Membership

Calgary’s Fastest-Growing Minor Hockey Association

Girls Hockey Calgary Association (GHC) is home to the Calgary Fire Elite Female Hockey Program and the Jr. Inferno community hockey program.

GHC also has more than 60 Jr. Inferno all-female teams from U7 to U18. Our Jr. Inferno community teams compete in the Hockey Calgary minor hockey league in both tiered and All-Female Divisions.

Our Calgary Fire Elite Female Hockey Program has one U18 AAA team, two U18 AA teams, three U15 AA teams and three U13 (Bantam) AA teams. These teams compete in the Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL) with many of their games broadcast on HockeyTV. Highlights of these games have appeared on local newscasts.

A typical season for our five Calgary Fire teams combined includes:

113 total Firestarter tournament games
75 regular season and playoff home games
Approximately 200 total games including home, away, exhibition, playoff and tournament games.
