Open to all GHC U11 and U13 (Tier 1) Registered Players

20 Skills sessions

20 Open Ice sessions.

Program runs October to March

Two sessions per week (one optional open ice and one skills session)

Mondays - Open Ice @ Stew Hendry

Tuesdays - Skill Sessions @ Bowness Sportsplex

Time: 6:30-7:30am

South Schedule

Mondays - Open Ice

Thursday - Skill Sessions

Location: East Calgary Twin Arenas

Time: 6:30-7:30am

PROGRAM INFORMATION

 

Program Capacity*:

  • 20 Skaters
  • 3 Goaltenders

*per North & South Group

 

Skills Sessions:

Instructor led sessions with linear skill progressions over the course of the program. High repetition individual skill development combined with game like applications.

Head Instructor: Roberta Stinn, U15 AA Fire White Head Coach

 

Open Ice Times:

Open ice times are drop-in times that you have access to by enrolling in the program. You are welcome to bring one parent or teammate (registered with GHC) to these ice times to help you work on your skills. Helmets are required at all times.

 

Goaltenders:

Goalie specific instruction.

Goalie Coach: Kelsey Roberts, U of C and PWHPA Alumni

 

Skill Level Recommendation for Program:

Prior experience is highly recommended for this program.  The program has been created to assist Tier 1 level players accelerate their skill development.

Registration is first-come, first-served. To ensure the best experience for all, there are a limited number of spaces available.

Please note: to maintain the quality of the ice times and provide accountability to the program, 75% attendance to all Skill Sessions is expected over the course of the twenty sessions.  After five absences (excluding emergencies, health concerns and injuries) your spot will be forfeited and provided to the first person on the waitlist.
